Goulash

A few weeks ago we made some goulash! This is one of my favorite meals and something Iv'e grown up eating. I would describe this as a hot-dish and spaghetti mixed together.

First we browned the beef. We then added the onions and garlic; Then added water, spices, canned diced tomatos. Ketchup was a good add on so we added a few squirts of that instead of canned tomato sauce. Next we just let that boil for about 15 min.
After letting that cook we added the pasta and cooked that till it was tender.

                                                              Here's the finished product!

WAH-LA! Now its done. we served this to our staff and students and this is what they thought:
Mr. Hanson-"I love goulash! I love you guys!"
Joe - "This is really great, Just enough spice"
Mrs. Ochoa-"You girls make my day, this is delicious"

I think that the goulash was a hit! although the presentation wasn't the best. You can make a hot-dish look too presentable.

Stuffed Strawberries

So after spring break we got back into the grove of things, and made some beautiful stuffed strawberries! The recipe is super easy.  All we did was put 2 8oz. packages of cream cheese, a little almond extract and a half cup powdered sugar in the mixer a beat it till it was light and fluffy. After that we put it in a pastry bag!
At this point it looked like a bag of frosting, but looks can be deceiving!

After that we put a deep X-cut in the top strawberries and cut off the stem/base.
Then we put the tip of the pastry bag as deep as we could in the X and pushed the filling out.

At first we weren't very good, the frosting was very thick, cold and was hard to push out.

After all of that we put it on a tray to see what our students and staff had to say

Kenzie S. "There really good! They could use a bit of powdered sugar"
Ms. Teigland "Oh my gosh, Yummy"
Mr. Hanson"You guys know how much I love you? Right" While shoving 5 strawberries in his mouth
